Following the paths of research our ambassadors bumped into the spirit of trade. Soon a decision was made: there will be a WEBSKLEP. Yes. IOOTCP will be boosting the concept of International Trade from this summer on, offering you informative, high quality, top notch products online. Handmade, mechanically tested. The works.

Now, for the unofficial part: we will hereby reveal you THE FIRST PRODUCT we have been developping in our secret lab. Please note that we need you to be discrete about this. Goethe Instituut is following our every commercial step..
So, without further ado, we present you:

The IOOTCP-PDA. The notebook that's more than a notebook. It's.. an extended notebook in which you can organise all there is to organise. We, at IOOTCP, know how hard it can be for a human being to bundle all that knowledge and all those strategies of work into one head. No need to worry about that anymore. Thanks to the help of this little bugger! It has a to-do-section, an archive, a good-ideas-that-will-be-thought-of-more-later-on-chapter. It has extra paper, it has artwork. This one's appearance is very much inspired by the diverse Polish theatre and filmposters. Recognise them?

Got wishes for products? Let us know!

Love,

the Ambassadors

Meet Grey Bear.

Grey Bear is a blogger, a writer and he is Polish. Grey Bear is said to be a huntsman, but we admire him for his films. Like this one, about famous actress Liv Ullman.

From this fragment we were able to extract the following words:
na imię (is named)
napravdę (really, true)
czasu (time)
and
profesor (professor)

Grey Bear obviously knows what he is talking about.
But we don’t.
Yet.
We want to know.

We need to know.

And therefore, we have set up a correspondence with this promising young polish artist – a raw diamond, whose talent is yet to be discovered. We can proudly announce that we offered him time to speak at our next Cultural Afternoon* and that he even might accept this.

So, please, dear reader, feel welcome to join in on this marvelous adventure of language and mystery! A Sunday we will never forget.

Yours,
The Ambassadors of IOOTCP

ON ART.

  (P)ART.

     ON(E).

Driving past the pineapple at the heart of Warsaw we were told that Polish art is about Chopin and nothing more. Hmm.. Just this man with the name of an airport? Now, how could this be. Are we talking facts here, or opinions?

We dug into this and boy, it was a dirty job. Covered in art we made it back to the surface (thank you Ewa Kozik!)

The first thing we want to show you:

yael bartana

YAEL BARTANA – …AND EUROPE WILL BE STUNNED

IOOTCP highly recommends you to check out the collection at Warsaw’s MOMA-website:

http://artmuseum.pl/en/kolekcja

Another great tip: www.ubu.com.

Well. For once we planned upon a Cultural AFTERNOON. Starting at 16:00 we’ll flee this season of storms and rain by jumping into the well of Polish creativity.

Hop on your bike, drive your car, catch that bus and get analogue with us on this thing called A!

Invitation Cultural Night 7 version 3

The ambassadors at IOOTCP have been travelling, thinking, talking, sweating, filming  and writing for the past couple of weeks. Do you want to know what on? Let us update you at a very special night about…

tHE MirACLe!

invitation IOOTCP 6 The Miracle

When ambassador Skwirblies left for the UK to do research, ambassador Schep couldn’t sit still either and went eastward. In Warsaw she was told by several people that Polish is officilally unofficially the most dificult language for any human to learn.

We at IOOTCP need to know the truth about this, since we’re spending our days on internalizing this language. We decided on doing some internet research and found out that, indeed, there is proof to be found on this subject:

ranking-of-difficult-languages

Conflicting proof, that is to say:

proof 2

What to believe?

We at IOOTCP can assure you with 100% certainty that this language takes quite some effort to learn.  We have proof of that too:

.

.

this girl

This girl.

She’s in one of our pictures.

Who is she?

What do we not know about her?

By looking at this picture, her face being turned away, we can say that we don’t think that this girl has to wear glasses. We assume it’s not the case that she has to wear glasses, but doesn’t want to because of reasons of vanity. We also can’t tell if she’s part of a debate-team at her school that hasn’t won any debate throughout the whole of it’s history. We don’t think she is known for her attacks of anger during which she almost literally explodes. It probably never happend that she, after losing one of many debates, attacked her opponents and demolished the whole schoolbuilding. No.

Also we don’t think she deeply wishes to go to Chicago to live with her father who remairried there to a lady African- American decent. She probably never locked her mother out of the house during one of her anger-attacks, provoked by a futility. Furthermore it is highly unlikely that her brother left for western europe at the age of 17 to vent out his criminal activities in either denmark, belgium or the Netherlands. And that he never sends her a postcard.

In order to get to know the true story behind this girl we need your help. Please watch this image carefully. Now download it to your computer, or draw it on a sheet of paper.  Take any kind of action you need to take in order to make sure you will remember this image.

If you ever encounter this girl, please immediately contact us. We have to find out the truth about her.

Thank you.
