The works of an institute are neverending. There’s always new knowledge to obtain, fresh information to spread. On this page we’ll give you an insight in ‘institutes past’.

OPENING OF THE INSTITUTE january 25th 2013

During a cold, dark evening IOOTCP came to light. With just one ambassador to inform the audience. Presenting the institutes first publication: La Peinture Polonaise Contemporaine avec des extra’s inspirée de cette peintures.

You can see that at this point there still was some confusion about the language of communication within the institute: Polish, Dutch, English or even French? (you can click to enlarge the picture)

CULTURAL NIGHT 1: JUNGLE  march 12th 2013

Our first Cultural Night. It had the theme ‘jungle’.  Inspiration for this evening came from the forest of Bialowieza, Europes last jungle that is situated in the east of Poland. It is the habitat of the Zubr, the Bison. During this evening we released the Zubr in ourselves and in our visitors and we sought for a place in Amsterdam where we could let our wild Polish Bison graze.

CULTURAL NIGHT 2: DARKNESS/LIGHT april 16th 2013

An evening full of dark confessions by Polish celebrities like Jerzy Grotowski, The Oracle and Marianne of Prussia (a Dutch princess who married a Polish prince in order to not live happily ever after at all).  The light came from Pani Ela’s homemade Bigos and from the typically non-Polish habit of the throwing of plates.

CULTURAL NIGHT 3: THE TRIP may 14th 2013

Borders and limits. Where does a culture start or stop? Is it fixed within the borders of a country? Is a country an amount of ground with borders and if yes, do air and water count too? If we’d digg to China, where would Polish territory turn into Chinese? Our questions about the nature of culture are still limitless!

CULTURAL NIGHT 4: I LIKE TO WATCH/SALON june 11th 2013

For this night we crafted a tsunami of Polish. Yes we’re referring to mr. Wilders here. During this night IOOTCP asked questions. What is migration? What is it officially, in general. What does it mean in true life? Is there a Polish-Dutch connection? Is it good or bad or something else? Also we met up with Christoffel Columbus, who happened to secretly have been a Polish prince.

CULTURAL NIGHT 5: NOT KNOWING IS ALSO KNOWING september 21th 2013

Being freshly back from Warsaw, our ambassadors had a lot to analyse and file. The pictures taken in Warsaw seemed to have a connection to eachother, to show a certain order, that our ambassadors just couldn’t grasp. Togheter with their visitors they decided to list everything that would most probably not be true about the pictures, in order to find the truth by eliminating un-truths. Here’s an example:

In october our ambassadors invested in a diaprojector. Since Ambassador Schep had just made yet another trip to the city of the mermaid, this was the perfect opportunity to show our visitors the current, quite miraculous, developments in Warsaw.

INTER-INSTITUTIONAL NIGHT 1: VISIT TO THE POLISH EMBASSY january 28th 2014

This year started with a night at the Polish Embassy. Of course our ambassadors appear at many Dutch-Polish events, but this was different. IOOTCP was specifically invited to share their knowledge with the crème de la crème of Oland (Poland+Holland. You understand) and it was an honour to be on Olish ground. Here you see us with Ambassador Borowski.

CULTURAL NIGHT 1: THE LETTER feb 2nd 2014

IOOTCP’s last time at THEATERSTRAAT was lovely. After an intense correspondence with Grey Bear, a blogger from Warsaw who has lived for many decades and has known many celebrities, our Ambassadors needed to go public. They invited mr. Bear and whilst they were at it, opened some letters that had been delivered by THE HUMAN ENVELOPPE.
